The Black Jacket Chef is a caterer in Colchester Essex. We cover outside catering for weddings, corporate events, funerals, dinner parties, office parties, BBQs, cocktail parties, canape parties and much more.
We also do cookery lessons in Colchester and our clients homes teaching all ranges of food.
Despite being a Colchester Caterer we have no limitations as to how far we travel, and regularly go from Essex and Suffolk to London and Leeds and back to East Anglia again.

Osea Island, Essex: The island offers space for up to 100 guests in individual bookings or group bookings for any length of stay. The Island offers a perfect location for a wedding reception and will soon be licensed for civil ceremonies. The Island is also available for corporate bookings and team building days. Here we have launched a new restaurant 'The Wild Bass'. The restaurant offers an a la carte menu that is available to tourists on the island and day visitors as well.
Brett Vale Golf Club, Raydon, Ipswich, Suffolk: Our own venue, we are the sole caterer here and we also cater for all the club food open 7 days a week, 8am until dusk. The function hall is available for weddings and events and can seat up to 144 guests for a sit down wedding breakfast. All our menus are available here, including hog roasts.
East Mersea Hall, East Mersea, Essex: We cater various functions at East Mersea Hall throughout the year. All our menus are available here including Hog roast.
Vinopolis, Borough Market, London: Here we host a cooking academy, hosting events from hell's kitchen to team building exercises. We regularly host events from 15 to 150 guests.
Sugar Quay, London: Here we cater for a semi permanent marquee on the Thames in the summer months. The marquee is erected on a jetty opposite HMS Belfast, right by the Tower of London. Here we have a capacity up to 500 guests. The Marquee is up during the summer, please CONTACT US for more information on available dates.
Bishops gate, London: Here we cater all manner of corporate parties, our clients include major banks and investment agencies.
Braxted Park, Braxted, Essex: At Braxted park we cater for the cookery school and teach a range of classes, from the beginner to the advanced keen cook. All are welcome including corporate clients, parties and individuals.
Hoxton, Old Street, London: One of our cookery school venues, we use this venue to teach cookery lessons.
Colchester Borough Council: For two years now we have been working alongside our local council to encourage children to lead a healthy life style. The programme is funded by the Primary Care Trust and is available to all primary schools in the area. We go into the schools and teach the children how to exercise and eat healthy and actually cook some examples with the children in their school time.
